Community Learning
Orchid Horticulture offers many community learning events, workshops, clubs and information for people of all ages and levels of experience in horticulture. All that is needed is a healthy desire to grow! Everyone is welcome and some classes count towards your Master Gardener certification.
Classes are of different lengths and levels of knowledge, from fun and informative (class length is 2-3 hours, usually offered in evenings or weekends) to more intensive weekend workshops!

Prairie Master Gardeners - For the Love of Gardening!
The Prairie Master Gardeners group is the premier gardening class in Saskatoon. The Prairie Master Gardeners group is open to all people who simply love gardening. This gardening class in Saskatoon is comprised of local experts that you can be a part of! This is your opportunity to be part of an expert group who share knowledge and skills to grow in many ways.

FUN & INFORMATIVE ONLINE CLASSES
Growing Food Indoors in Winter
Learn how to easily grow at least some of the produce we consume – even at -30°C outside. The rising cost of groceries and problems with the supply chain can be offset if you learn how to successfully grow food indoors. You don’t need to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on fancy grow systems, all you need is a few simple supplies and an understanding of what plants need to grow! FUN & INFORMATIVE IN PERSON CLASSES
Class length is 2-3 hours, usually offered in evenings or weekends beginning early in 2023. Please note that all provincial guidelines related to COVID will be followed.
Floral Design – Level I
An introductory course that is perfect for those who love to work with fresh blooms and greens. This enjoyable day is the perfect choice for those with an appetite for learning in a fun and relaxed environment. During the course, participants will design two pieces to take home. You do not need any formal experience in design to take this course as you will learn the basic concepts of floral design. Level I is compulsory for all other levels of floral design.

Trees & Shrubs for the Prairies
Trees & Shrubs add to the beauty of our landscape. Meet the trees and shrubs which thrive in our climate and learn about what you can do to ensure healthy and long-lived woodies in your landscape.
